It's easy to sync your contacts with you phone right from the group chat invites, then Shout will text or email any of your contacts that don't have Shout accounts with your invite link. If your contact already has a Shout account, it will automatically add them to the group chat and send them a Shout Notification letting them know they've been added.

ADD A PUBLIC PAGE TO YOUR GROUP CHAT Adding a public page your group chat is meant for all those folks that have reached out and asked us for help moving their Facebook, Telegram and WhatsApp Groups over to Shout. Adding a public page will enable some awesome new functionality to your group chats, including: You get a dedicated URL to share with your group or team, to make it easy for them to find You Group Chat will show up in Search on Shout Your Group Chat will show up in Search on Google and other search engines You can show off your members, notes, starred messages, media and folders on the public page REQUEST TO JOIN A GROUP CHAT It’s now super easy to allow folks to Request to Join your group chat, so you can make your chat public while still curating the membership. Approve or Decline member requests to your group chat Require requesters to respond to up to three questions and upload a file with their request to join Admins can add “Automatically Approve” settings to automatically approve their contacts and members of other Group Chats they are in Admins can customize how often they should be notified of requests to join. Get notified: immediately, every hour, every two hours, every evening, or never. View all the requests that have been made to join your group chat. See which admin reviewed a request ADD FOLDERS TO GROUP CHATS Now you can add folders to your group chats, this makes it super easy to share content with all the members of your group chats. STAR MESSAGES IN GROUP CHATS Admins can now star messages in group chats, so it’s easy for members to find the most important announcements and information. SEARCH FOR PUBLIC GROUP CHATS Now everyone in Shout can easily find your public Group Chats by searching. GROUP CHATS INBOX (Web & Desktop Only) Now you can more easily manage and find your group chats with the dedicated Group Chats Inbox. SHOUT PROFILE PAGE Now every Shout user gets a simple Shout Profile page, so it’s easy to share with your friends and contacts and for them to connect with you. Voice memo message templates look just as if you sent them a voice memo in Shout but aren’t recommended for text messages. You can only create them in the mobile app, but you can use them anywhere in Shout. GROUPS ARE LISTS We just changed the name, so it’s not as confusing to talk about Groups and Group Chats. The feature formerly known as “Groups” is now known as “Lists” OTHER FUN STUFF The channel selector was moved down into the filters, so it’s a bit easier to catch. It still works the same. We added an inbox selector to the inbox so you can focus on messages coming from your configured outlets including: All Inboxes, Group Chats, DMs, Customer Service, Marketing, Facebook, and Instagram. Fixed a bug where mute threads were causing Threads on the home page to highlight Using a nice Hash Icon in lieu of the Group Chat Collage image Added a nice new Shout Notifications conversation so we can let you know about important stuff in your account (like Requests to Join your group chats for example).
